MERN Chiropractic Clinic

Due to her growing reputation and high demand, MERN Chiropractic was opened as Laura continued to receive requests to treat general musculoskeletal conditions, pregnancy and paediatrics from her Uphall Clinic location in addition to where she practices in Morningside, Edinburgh. For this reason MERN Chiropractic is run as a sub-clinic within Golf Injury Clinic.

What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic adjustment is a procedure in which trained specialists (chiropractors) use their hands or a small instrument to apply a controlled, sudden force to a spinal joint. The goal of a chiropractic adjustment, also known as spinal manipulation, is to correct structural alignment and improve your body’s physical function.

Chiropractic is a health profession concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the effects of these disorders on the function of the nervous system and general health.

Your care will be adapted to meet your individual needs and may differ from what someone you know has received in their care plan.

Chiropractors undergo a 4 or 5 year University Degree to become a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC)

Low back pain, neck pain and headache are the most common problems for which people seek chiropractic adjustment.

Laura Nuttall DC; MChiro; CCEP; FMS

After graduating from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic (WIOC), Laura initially practised in Fife before heading up to Aberdeenshire. While gaining extensive experience in treating a variety of conditions as well as seeing patients of all ages, it was here where Laura started her post graduate training in pregnancy and paediatrics. After several years working in Aberdeenshire, Laura decided to move to Edinburgh to help meet the high demand for Paediatric Chiropractic care in the Lothians.

In 2014 Laura travelled to Canada to study and get certified in Functional Movement System (FMS). She is also certified as a Chiropractic Extremities Practitioner (CCEP) – an Advanced Certification in Extremity Adjusting, in addition to being able to perform Western Acupuncture techniques where she gained certification from the British Medical Acupuncture Society.

Having grown up near St. Andrews, Laura has always been surrounded by the world of golf. Continuing seeing patients who were avid golfers, Laura decided to investigate the role of body biomechanics in the golfers swing. What started as a curious interest took on 3 years of studying the biomechanics of the golfer, where she has gained a positive reputation from both the professional and amateur golfer. The end result being the launch of the Golf Injury Clinic
